About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at SHORELINE DRYWALL LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare layouts and use measuring tools to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling of heavy loads.
  • Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Work overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks that require strength, endurance, and manual dexterity.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a standard 35-hour workweek.
  • English language proficiency as the primary language of communication.
