Job Summary

Slegg Building Materials is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Temporary Full-Time Carpenter, you will be responsible for building simple framed displays, retail racking, and store fixtures. You will also be involved in store remerchandising and other duties assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
  • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
  • Build simple framed displays
  • Build retail racking/store fixtures, and secure racking
  • Store remerchandising
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Basic hand tool skills
  • Previous Carpentry experience
  • Physical requirements include: Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, Standing for long periods of time, Frequently climbing up and down stairs, Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
