Job Overview

This is a senior leadership role within Waypoint's insurance brokerage firm, responsible for managing the broker placement team and driving business growth through strategic oversight of insurance placements and relationship management with carriers.

The Director will play a critical role in developing and implementing placement strategies that align with the company's goals, while ensuring the delivery of optimal insurance solutions to clients. Reporting to the VP, Commercial Insurance, this role requires collaboration with other senior leaders to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the broker placement team, fostering a high-performance culture and enhancing the expertise of the sales and sales support teams in insurance technical skills.
  • Develop and implement effective placement strategies to achieve company objectives, analyzing market trends and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key insurance carriers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions, serving as a primary point of contact for high-value clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an insurance brokerage or insurance company, with significant experience in a leadership role within insurance.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management, with excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications, plus additional benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
