Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Protection Advisor to join our growing team.

In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the sensitive information of both our organization and our valued customers. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust data protection strategies and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data assets.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive data protection program encompassing policies, procedures, and technical safeguards.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams to identify critical data assets requiring protection and recommend appropriate security measures.
  • Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies and tools to enhance the effectiveness of our data protection program.
  • Monitor security systems for potential threats and respond promptly to incidents and alerts.
  • Provide comprehensive training and education to employees on data governance policies and best practices.
  • Work in tandem with compliance teams to ensure that our data protection strategies align with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in the field of data protection and governance.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in information security, with a focus on data protection.
  • Hands-on experience with data loss prevention technologies and solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CIPP, or CDPSE are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to continuous learning.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
