We are seeking an experienced and passionate Administrative Pedagogical Culture Lead to join our team at Compass Early Learning and Care. As a key member of our program, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of a culture that promotes reflective practice and growing pedagogy aligned with Compass ELC's vision, values, and strategic plan.
- Collaborate with the Co-Admin Culture Lead and Co-Pedagogical Culture Lead to support the City of Kawartha Lakes School Age programs.
- Facilitate and participate in team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Administer payroll, billing, subsidy reconciliations, and maintain staff files to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Coordinate staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage and support for the program.
- Build and maintain relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers, students, community partners, and school staff to promote a culture of collaboration and inclusivity.
- Nurture a culture of collaboration, research, and reflective practice that grows our community of learners and deepens our practice of the organizational program statement and pedagogical principles.
- Schedule focused pedagogical time with educators to support their professional growth and development.
- Support the development and ongoing reflection of Professional Learning Goals to ensure educators are equipped to provide high-quality care and education.
- Support educators to bring visibility to children's learning and competencies using the Cycle of Inquiry and the Visual Representation Protocol.
- Observe and document children's learning to bring visibility to their competencies, theories, ideas, and curiosities.
- Support the program in creating and maintaining aesthetically pleasing, rich learning environments that engage children's curious minds and lively bodies.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education.
- Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
- Valid certifications including: Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid and CPR Level C, and Updated immunization records.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Comfortable with technology and possess a clear understanding of the CCEYA (Child Care Early Years Act), related legislation, Compass ELC policies and procedures, distributed leadership, and How Does Learning Happen.
- Access to reliable transportation to and from the School Age Programs.
