Job Summary:

Ainsworth is seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Application Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the supply and installation of various security system projects, including engineering design, programming, commissioning, and client training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with project turnover meetings to gather information for engineering design.
  • Develop panel layouts, network layouts, and wiring diagrams using Ainsworth engineering tools.
  • Select materials, including access control modules and peripheral devices, to meet project requirements.
  • Develop project commissioning checklists for startup, checkout, and commissioning.
  • Program and functionally test all components within a complete security system installation.
  • Maintain personal accessibility and communicate with field technicians, office sales, and clients.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure timely issuance of as-built documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Security System Installation, Design, and Commissioning.
  • Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low voltage industry.
  • Strong understanding of Security System Solutions and ability to appraise existing systems components.
  • Experience working with other consultants and contractors, and coordination of integrated projects.
