We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter Assistant to join our team at Moose Painting Ltd. As a key member of our painting crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Load and Transport Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, including paints, tools, and equipment, to and from job sites.
- Read Blueprints: Carefully read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate completion of tasks.
- Erect and Dismantle Forms: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
- Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain painting equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Mix Paint: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
- Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Recruitment and Support: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster, and provide support with foreign credential recognition.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, Indigenous workers, and visible minorities.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Setting: This is a varied work setting, with opportunities to work in different locations.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.
