Moose Painting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Painter Helper to join our team. As a Painter Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our painting and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as needed.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work.
- Mix paint to desired color and texture, and clean and maintain equipment.
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
- Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
