Job Title: Manager, Doctors Technology Office

About the Role:

The Manager, Doctors Technology Office is a key position within the Practice Transformation team at Doctors of BC. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of initiatives that support and enable the use of health technology within clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals in the development and implementation of health technology initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the use of health technology in clinical practice
  • Provide advisory and escalation health technology support services
  • Work collaboratively with the Practice Transformation management team to develop practice support tools and resources related to health technology

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or recognized professional designation, and up to six years of progressive and related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of a specific discipline in health information science, computer sciences, health administration or business
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team and in motivating and guiding team members
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing landscape while meeting project deadlines and deliverables
  • Solid understanding of the BC healthcare system and demonstrated understanding of EMR vendor services and clinical benefits of technology-enabled practice
  • Project and budget management experience, including experience with planning, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Effective writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
