We are currently seeking experienced Program Facilitators to join our team at John Island Camp location in Spanish, Ontario. As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for facilitating programming for groups that attend John Island in the spring.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the emotional and physical well-being of campers
- Develop and implement engaging programming activities
- Foster positive relationships with campers and staff members
- Deliver a camper-focused experience in all areas of programming
- Support the setup and maintenance of programming areas
- Collaborate with other staff members to achieve program goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Association
Requirements:
- OSSD or equivalent considered an asset
- Experience working with campers aged 7-14
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of camp practices and risk management considerations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingualism in both official languages considered an asset
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
