At Sunny Morning, we are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team.
About the Role
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of meals in our busy kitchen. This includes preparing complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Work Setting
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of meals in the kitchen
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Organize buffets and banquets as required
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
