Job Summary

We're seeking a Media Planner to join our team in Ottawa, ON, Los Angeles, CA, or Seattle, WA. As a Media Planner, you will develop an understanding of how a digital agency operates and the process of establishing business relationships. You will be responsible for developing overall strategic direction for media efforts across all channels, defining spend, measurements, and decision-making methodology, and building plan options that deliver against client/campaign objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Strategic Media Plans
    • Define media objectives and develop overall strategic direction for media efforts across all channels (Broadcast, Radio, OOH, Print, Digital, Search, etc.)
    • Develop and maintain strategic and integrated client media plans and marketing recommendations
  • Media Vendor Management
    • Procure and develop best-in-class media vendor relationships and identify strategic partnership opportunities for Fuel
  • Client Communication and Education
    • Build client-facing assets including pitch decks and wrap reports
    • Communicate and educate clients on media trends, potential new channels, and strategies to keep Fuel ahead
  • Media Analysis and Reporting
    • Develop, implement, and maintain strategic and integrated client media plans and marketing recommendations
    • Stay up-to-date with media trends, potential new channels, and strategies to keep Fuel ahead
Requirements
  • Client-Facing Experience
    • Client-facing experience is a must, with a strong understanding of client business and the ability to provide timely strategic solutions
  • Media Planning and Buying
    • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of media planning and buying principles, including attribution and programmatic media buying
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative on specific projects
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with PowerPoint, Keynote, and Advanced Excel
