About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team at Cascades Casino. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the flow of the restaurant, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
- Process reservations and plan guest seating arrangements.
- Assist servers with food and beverage expediting, bussing, and cleaning.
- Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with guests and addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the hospitality or food service industry, preferably in a host/hostess role.
- Cash handling experience using a POS system or cashier register.
- Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment, or event training experience is an asset.
- Serving It Right (BC)/Proserve (Alberta) certificate or Smart Serve (Ontario) certification is required.
- World Host/Super Host certificate or other similar customer service programs are an asset.
- Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in a dining, retail, or promotions environment.
- Effective public speaking skills and presence.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds, specifically a fully loaded serving tray.
