Cottage Time is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead a team of food service staff, including servers, cooks, and hosts/hostesses, to ensure seamless service and efficient food preparation.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide ongoing training and coaching to staff members to improve their skills and knowledge, and to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, beverages, and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverages meet our high quality standards, and that our restaurant is clean and well-maintained.
  • Prepare Reports and Budgets: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory, and other key metrics, and develop budgets to ensure that we are operating within our means.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, noisy, and odours
  • Work Setting: Restaurant
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, walking, and attention to detail
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, and dependability
