The Payment Application Clerk will be responsible for processing payments assigned to them based on pre-established rules. This includes creating EFT deposits in PeopleSoft using bank statements and matching payments with payment advices received from customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payments assigned to them based on pre-established rules
  • Create EFT deposits in PeopleSoft using bank statements
  • Match payments with payment advices received from customers
  • Research and reconcile payments that require special attention
  • Communicate with back-office managers, collectors, and clients to obtain missing information
  • Document errors in the payment application process and communicate with immediate supervisor
  • Enforce business rules regarding adjustment requests and refund requests

Qualifications

  • College degree or professional diploma in accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience with high-volume payment applications
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Fluent in both official languages, oral and written
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, results-oriented, team player
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
