Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Community Support Specialist to join our team at ILNSA. As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering specific services within the community, working closely with clients and other social services agencies to provide support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and outcomes
  • Develop and implement behavior management programs to support clients with special needs
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Assist clients with daily tasks and activities, such as food preparation and housekeeping
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings to provide emotional support and companionship
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Mandt System training
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
Work Environment

As a Community Support Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often independently, with a focus on attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be required to work with clients who may have complex needs, including substance abuse, behavioral disorders, and socio-economic challenges.
