The Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Vancouver. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to clients with complex needs related to psychiatric disability, addiction, and trauma.

About the Job

This permanent, part-time position offers a competitive salary of $36.63 to $45.81 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 16 hours per week, including Saturdays and Sundays, with a regular day off during the pay period.

Job Summary

  • Provide nursing functions and direct care to clients, including psychiatric and physical assessments, crisis interventions, medication administration, and group facilitation.
  • Implement the delivery of trauma-informed care for clients with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses and ability to maintain full practicing license with the BCCNM.
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, First Aid Certificate, Criminal Records Clearance, Tuberculosis Clearance, Immunization Records, and WHMIS Certificate.
  • Good understanding of mental illness, addiction issues, psychotrophic medications, and psychosocial rehabilitation principles.
  • Ability to work with people with mental illness and addictions, establish and maintain rapport with clients, observe and recognize changes in clients, and communicate effectively.
