Licensed Practical Nurse, Full Scope

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Burnaby Hospital. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients and residents in a supportive and respectful environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of nursing care and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
- Assess patient/resident/family's actual and potential strengths and limitations.
- Provide a supportive environment for patient/resident/family.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing changes to the individualized plan of care.
- Provide nursing care according to identified policies and procedures.
- Document and update all relevant care and procedure information.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients/residents and staff.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
Education and Experience
Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
- Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM.
