Executive Chef de Partie Leader

At La Baracca, we are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while overseeing the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
About the Role- This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours during peak periods.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian cuisine environment.
- You will be required to plan menus, ensure food meets quality standards, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Excellent leadership skills are essential, as you will be supervising a team of 3-4 people and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen performance.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
- Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- Create new recipes and menus that showcase your creativity and expertise.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef de partie or in a similar role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, lifting up to 25 kg and standing for long periods. A valid food handler's certificate is also required.
