Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team of ultrasound specialists. As a valued member of our department, you will play a key role in providing diagnostic services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in UHN and Sinai Health main ultrasound departments and/or Emergency Departments, as required
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure functioning of ultrasound, medical imaging, and ancillary equipment
  • Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
  • Participate in teaching, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs/activities

Requirements

  • Certification by Sonography Canada, or equivalent based on grandfathering program at the time of sonography regulation in Ontario
  • Current registration with the CMRITO and fulfilling the annual required continuing education as per CMRITO
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification
  • Current membership with Sonography Canada, preferred
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) and Abdomen (AB), preferred
