Dietitian - Nutrition & Food Services Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team in the Nutrition and Food Services department. As a Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement nutrition plans, and provide education and support to patients and families.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Dietitian who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. You will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, and be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities- Provide expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities
- Develop and implement nutrition plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to achieve patient care goals
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in nutrition and dietetics
- Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
- Strong background in nutrition and dietetics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
