Dietitian - Nutrition & Food Services

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team in the Nutrition and Food Services department. As a Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans to promote optimal health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition and healthy eating
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and coordination
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in nutrition and dietetics
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Dietitian who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
- Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or community setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
