About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the provision of safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, packaging, and dispensing medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
  • Compounding of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms
  • Dispensing drugs to inpatients and outpatients in unit dose
  • Working with automation and inventory control systems
  • Medication reconciliation and quality programs

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is a graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
  • Is eligible for licensure and registration in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician (NSCP)
  • Has competencies in other languages, with French being an asset

Hours
  • Various permanent and assignment (temporary) opportunities are available
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation and Benefits
  • Graduate Pharmacy Technician: $23.19 per hour
  • Registered Technician: $24.96 per hour after you provide proof of your registration with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists
