We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Analytics and Insights team at TD Bank. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with advanced analytics approaches to uplift the Bank's Financial Crime mitigation, detection, and investigation programs.

Job Description

As a Data Scientist II, you will be part of a diverse and collaborative team of Data Scientists and Analytics Specialists. Your primary responsibility will be to develop key insights to address the rapidly growing data and information needs of our business partners. You will drive the execution of ongoing analytics projects and provide comprehensive support to ensure that our products and services meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create Financial Crime mitigation strategies using advanced analytics approaches
  • Develop analytic solutions to support insight generation that aligns with strategy and drives shareholder value
  • Lead large complex analytics projects to identify opportunities to optimize our current product suite
  • Present insights back to leaders and business partners to drive strategic improvement
  • Collaborate with business partners to shape and prioritize ad-hoc analysis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong ownership mentality, proactive attitude, and ability to get things done
  • Demonstrated passionate analytical thinker with track record of delivering business impact and results through developing and executing on innovative analytics solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of using data to understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening, and what can be done to resolve the issue
  • Ability to use predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and sensitivity analysis to develop detailed business cases and explain business value of projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analytical techniques and adapting to the evolution within the financial services industry
  • Understanding of products and strategies to challenge business cases and analyses
  • Capable of working in and across teams, leading partners and aligning leadership – including proven teamwork and ability to build deep relationships with diverse business partners
What We Offer

TD Bank offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $76,800 - $115,200 CAD per year, plus variable compensation and benefits.
