Cabinetmaker - Woodworking Expert

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Leon Lebeniste Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and experience operating various machines such as power saws, jointers, and shapers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Woodworking Machines: Safely operate a variety of woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form wood components.
- Shape and Finish Wood: Use hand tools to shape and finish wood surfaces, ensuring high-quality results.
- Study Plans and Specifications: Carefully study plans and specifications to ensure accurate production of wood components.
- Assemble and Reinforce Joints: Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
- Sand and Finish: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
- Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
- Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
Work Environment: This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. English is the primary language of communication.
