Culinary Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Safe Food Handling certificate and Food Safety Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods. You will work under pressure to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.
