Job Summary


As a Healthcare Support Worker with Fraser Health, you will play a vital role in providing non-direct and non-clinical healthcare supports to clients and families in home settings. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional, you will assist with daily living activities, promote physical and emotional well-being, and maintain a safe and healthy environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, personal care, and housekeeping.
  • Observe clients and their environments to identify and report any safety concerns or changes in behavior or physical condition.
  • Participate as an integral member of a healthcare delivery team to provide comprehensive support to clients and families.
  • Establish rapport with clients and families to promote physical, emotional, cultural, social, and spiritual well-being.


Qualifications

  • Grade 10, including successful completion of English 10 or equivalency.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work and operate related equipment.
