Job Title: AppOps Senior Specialist

At Interac Corp., we're shaping the future of the digital economy in Canada. As an AppOps Senior Specialist, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering products and solutions that give Canadians control over their money.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead application deployments end-to-end across all environments.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of components, ensuring high availability and stability of the service.
  • Develop detailed release and implementation documentation, ensuring compliance with audit and security policies.
  • Work closely with Product, Development, Testing, QA, and Operations teams to ensure final release performance and stability.
  • Manage and mitigate risks, resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Represent the release and deployment through TCAB, ExCAB, and lead post-implementation reviews with Agile squads.
  • Implement release and deployment best practices, driving continuous improvements and efficiencies to the deployment pipelines.
  • Drive application stability and service automation/optimization initiatives, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer journey metrics.
  • Optimize application performance, leveraging performance data, monitoring, and diagnostic tools to drive service excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Expertise in using version control systems, such as Git, for managing codebases and collaboration.
  • Expertise with Red Hat OpenShift and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Expertise with CI/CD Automation and Kubernetes/containerization.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and tools such as Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development and Agile frameworks.
  • Strong background in build integration, testing, and automation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, including release planning, release processes, software testing, deployment implementation, and maintenance/support.
Nice to Have:
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Certification.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Experience working in Agile squads.
  • Experience working with OpenShift.
  • Experience working in the Financial and Payments services.
