Job Title: Dispatch/Fleet Manager

Are you a logistics expert looking for a challenging role in a dynamic company? We are seeking a highly skilled Dispatch/Fleet Manager to join our team at Select People Solutions.

About the Role:

As a Dispatch/Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily dispatch activities, coordinating drivers and routes to ensure timely deliveries and smooth logistics. You will also manage the entire fleet, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily dispatch activities to ensure timely deliveries and smooth logistics
  • Manage the entire fleet, including vehicle maintenance, repair, and safety standards
  • Ensure all fleet activities comply with DOT regulations
  • Supervise dispatchers, drivers, and mechanics to ensure effective communication and prompt resolutions
  • Control budgets and manage costs
  • Maintain and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain
  • 4+ years of experience in dispatch or transportation shipping
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, freight lanes, and safety standards
  • Experience with permits, oversized loads, and pilot car requirements
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
Bonus Points:
  • Previous experience as a Dispatch or Fleet Manager
  • Management experience in cross-border shipping

We offer a supportive and team-focused work environment, immediate hands-on work with ongoing learning opportunities, and benefits after 3 months. Compensation includes a salary of $60,000 per year, with potential weekend and on-call work as needed.
