Public Health Resource Nurse Role

Northern Health Authority seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to fulfill the Public Health Resource Nurse role. This position provides clinical advice, support, and education to personnel in Primary Care Homes and interprofessional teams.
The Public Health Resource Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating Public Health support. This role involves monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on public health key indicators, coordinating mass immunization clinics, and managing complex communicable diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical advice and support to personnel in Primary Care Homes and interprofessional teams.
• Assess, plan, organize, manage, and evaluate Public Health support.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on public health key indicators.
• Coordinate mass immunization clinics and manage complex communicable diseases.

Required Qualifications:
• Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Two years' recent, related public health nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Current BCCDC Immunization Certification.
• Current CPR certification at the basic life support level.
• Class V Driver's License.
