Job Description

This position requires working all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends in the Core Lab.

  1. Perform and be responsible for laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with the Laboratory and Hospital's mission, vision, values, and goals.
  2. Troubleshoot instruments, procedures, and anomalous test results.
  3. Provide instrument-specific technical support as trained key operator.
  4. Assist in staff/students' training and orientation.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory & supplies.
  6. Prepare up-to-date procedure manuals under the direction of the Lab Director.
  7. Support the laboratory Quality Management System.
  8. Comply with lab policies and procedures, and hospital policies and procedures.
  9. Maintain competence and enhance knowledge of relevant medical laboratory procedures.

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.

Qualifications
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) required.
  • Recent experience in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Meditech laboratory experience preferred.
