Transportation Engineering Director

About the Role
CIMA+ is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our transportation expansion efforts in the Maritime region. As the Director of Transportation Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive business growth and profitability in Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and pursue opportunities with Nova Scotia and Maritime Authorities and public & private clients
- Collaborate with other CIMA+ business lines to leverage expertise and resources to drive growth and expansion
- Lead a team of transportation professionals to deliver high-quality projects and services to clients
- Provide thought leadership and regulatory oversight to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Engage in development initiatives related to transport planning, transport infrastructure (roads and bridges)
- Champion safety, quality, and ESG initiatives to ensure a positive impact on the environment and community
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in the transportation market in Nova Scotia and the Maritimes, with a preferred focus on bridges and roads projects
- Professional Engineer, or other professional designation, registered or eligible to be registered in Nova Scotia
- Experience with corporate strategic planning initiatives and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategies
- Demonstrated considerable understanding of the overall market including future influences and trends
- Excellent interpersonal communication (both oral and written in English), client engagement and ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization in collaboration
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in personnel and performance management, decision making, change management, employee development, and team building
