Job Summary

At Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre LTD, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, as well as dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including portioning and wrapping foods, and preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate dishwashers, conventional ovens, deep fryers, and grills to wash dishes, cook food, and perform other tasks.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
