Job Title: Data Governance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our team at NAIT. As a Data Governance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with functional areas and colleagues to gather information and perform analysis on data issues and develop remediation recommendations.
  • Document, monitor, and track data issues, data standards, and evolving processes for data management.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of data governance education and awareness for data stewardship functions and data users.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and administration of NAIT's data catalogue, business glossary, and associated tools.
  • Work with business and ITS staff to obtain data definitions and associated information such as classification.
  • Provide advice and guidance on records management and data lifecycle principles.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with NAIT's data policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or related field.
  • Experience in data management disciplines.
  • CDMP or equivalent is an asset.
