Job Summary

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Project Officer to support the implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of its telecom systems.

This role involves collaborating with project teams to develop and execute telecom solutions, managing project tasks, timelines, and deliverables, and ensuring alignment with GNWT standards and mandates.

The ideal candidate will possess a fundamental understanding of the GNWT's IT infrastructure and telephone systems, including the Avaya Aura telephone system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and execute telecom solutions
  • Manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables
  • Ensure alignment with GNWT standards and mandates
  • Provide technical support for telecom systems
  • Develop and maintain project documentation

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
  • At least one year of demonstrated Avaya Aura IP-PBX programming experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of BlackBerry Enterprise Mobile Device Management and project management in a northern environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
