Job Summary
Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Airport Construction Manager to join our Critical Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing airport construction projects from planning to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Parsons and the client with subcontractors and suppliers during the project.
- Manage work in and around an active airport, maintaining airport operations during construction.
- Work with the CMAR/contractor to identify construction interfaces, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Seek resolution to issues as they arise in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Have a strong knowledge of vertical construction and construction codes and standards.
- Build a strong working relationship with airport authorities.
- Maintain oversight and alertness to potential problem areas and recommend preventive action.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing progress for higher-level management and client review.
- Maintain strong client and community relations to promote project goals and sustainability requirements.
- Lead a group of construction inspectors and other construction administration support personnel.
- Take a leadership role in workplace Health, Safety, and Security.
- Manage on-site field construction activities associated with project completion.
- Evaluate the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
- Excellent people management skills and ability to converse and communicate with all levels of staff.
- Highly numerate and able to interpret and utilize schedule information, performance metrics, and financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience) is preferred, and typically 12+ years of experience in field construction is required.
- Experience in vertical construction at a commercial airport is preferred.
