Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Airport Construction Manager to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing airport construction projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Parsons and the client with subcontractors and suppliers during the project.
  • Manage work in and around an active airport, maintaining airport operations during construction.
  • Work with the CMAR/contractor to identify construction interfaces, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Seek resolution to issues as they arise in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Have a strong knowledge of vertical construction and construction codes and standards.
  • Build a strong working relationship with airport authorities.
  • Maintain oversight and alertness to potential problem areas and recommend preventive action.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing progress for higher-level management and client review.
  • Maintain strong client and community relations to promote project goals and sustainability requirements.
  • Lead a group of construction inspectors and other construction administration support personnel.
  • Take a leadership role in workplace Health, Safety, and Security.
  • Manage on-site field construction activities associated with project completion.
  • Evaluate the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to converse and communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Highly numerate and able to interpret and utilize schedule information, performance metrics, and financial data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience) is preferred.
  • Typically 12+ years of experience in field construction is required.
  • Experience in vertical construction at a commercial airport is preferred.
