About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at The Alexander Muskoka Operations (Gravenhurst) LP. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a nursing home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Serve meal trays and assist residents with feeding.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including making beds and doing laundry.
  • Transportation: Safely transport residents between care facilities and within the facility.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response: Administer first aid in emergency situations and respond to call signals to determine residents' needs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of supplies and ensure that the facility is well-stocked.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.
