About the Role

The Home Support Worker (HSW) at Retirement Concepts is an integral member of our team, providing person-centered care to our residents. As a HSW, you will work closely with our Assisted Living Clinical Manager and other team members to ensure the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care for residents, including medication assistance, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Respond to call bell alarms and observe and monitor residents' progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes.
  • Encourage residents to participate in social, physical, spiritual, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of community policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate from a recognized Care Aide Program.
  • Active registration with the British Columbia Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
  • Valid First Aid Level 1 certification and current CPR.
  • Medication Administration Certification required.
  • Previous experience in a care community preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
