At Retirement Concepts, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Assisted Living. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities and duties of those who deliver direct tenant care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and advise tenants on health matters within the scope of the LPN, maintaining the focus on the independence of the tenant to direct their own care.
  • Ensure tenant-focused care is provided by HSW's and tenant rights and independence are observed.
  • Oversee administration of prescribed medications and treatments by HSW's within the limitations of the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and according to relevant Personal Assistant Guidelines (PAGS).
  • Monitor and document changes in physical and psychological conditions of tenants in BCAL.
  • Liaise with other disciplines and departments to ensure quality-focused tenant care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved program for Practical Nurses and holds a current Full Scope License with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • Two years' recent experience as a practicing LPN, preferably in an Assisted Living or long-term care setting
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
