Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Home Instead. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring clients receive nutritious and balanced meals
  • Support clients with mobility and exercise, promoting physical activity and well-being
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with toileting, incontinence care, and wound care
  • Participate in community programs and initiatives that support newcomers and refugees, including settlement needs and social and labour market integration
  • Support youth employment through on-the-job training, mentorship, and networking opportunities
  • Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for visible minorities
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
