Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing settlement supporting functions regarding customers and generators, setting up customers and generators for wholesale settlements or retail billings, and implementing and maintaining customer account/meter data relationships in the load data management database. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business administration, economics, project management, and engineering principles to contribute to the development and implementation of transmission and distribution billing and settlement business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the setup or revision of wholesale settlements or retail billings or generator payments for customers and generators.
  • Prepare IESO energy/transmission totalization tables associated with wholesale settlements.
  • Prepare retail totalization tables for retail billing and generation payments.
  • Review the setup of settlements information in other systems and databases.
  • C coordinate with IESO, external MSPs and internally with Engineering & Construction Services regarding the submission of transmission tariff list, wholesale totalization tables and required IESO forms and documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with various aspects of the transmission and distribution systems and utility service practices, including billing and settlement functions and processes, load data analysis, customer service & planning, and the ability to provide cost-effective solutions consistent with the changing Ontario Energy Board (OEB) regulatory and licensing requirements and Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) market rules.
