Safety Engineer for Complex Operations

About this Role:

As a key member of our client's integrated HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team, you will play a critical role in identifying and managing HSE risks, prioritizing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This exciting opportunity is designed for a seasoned professional with a strong background in safety engineering, risk management, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective HSE risk management strategies to protect employees, assets, and the environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate HSE risks in complex operating environments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, identifying root causes and developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive HSE training programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement emergency management systems for highly hazardous multi-site operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve HSE performance.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of related safety/operational experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably 3 years in offshore operations.
  • Proven track record of evaluating and improving safety behavior and culture in complex working environments.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance with industry, governmental, and international standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Our Hiring Process:
