As a key member of the LHH Knightsbridge team, you will assist in implementing an HRIS system in two stages. Initially, you will conduct a thorough gap analysis to determine the most suitable HRIS for our organization. In the second phase, you will project manage the implementation, serving as our point person, managing resources, and ensuring timelines are met.

Key responsibilities include regular reporting, ensuring staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities, implementing performance management, acting as a site liaison for the HRIS system, and managing a team of HRIS members to define the overall HRIS roadmap.

  • Regular reporting to senior leaders and other stakeholders on progress, challenges, opportunities, and learnings.
  • Ensuring staff are clear about their roles and responsibilities and held accountable for their work.
  • Acting as site liaison for the implementation of the HRIS system.
  • Conducting needs analysis for all facets of HR, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions.
  • Managing and scaling a team of HRIS members to help define and drive the overall HRIS roadmap.
  • Coordinating with IT and the user community to identify areas of improvement, recommend changes, and implement functional solutions.
  • Managing requests for process improvements, system enhancements, and the development and/or purchase of new software applications.
  • Synthesizing and documenting requirements for process improvement, enhancements, new software, and strategic initiatives.
  • Acting as HR Lead for in-progress HRIS system implementation, including continued testing and configuration, security administration, report writing, system optimization post go-live, and coordination and management of cross-functional dependencies.
  • Ensuring that applications integrate into existing and planned infrastructure.
  • Supporting all HRIS systems and human resources end users in the use of HRIS applications and desktop tools.
  • Effectively working with the team to prioritize work and establish a strong partnership with IT to ensure clear governance in how value is delivered to the end users.
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance.
  • Partnering with cross-functional team members and IT team members on HRIS-related issues/enhancements/queries.
  • Collaborating with the HR Operations team to provide support for HR technology matters.
  • Maintaining and administering ad hoc report writing tools for end users; training and assisting users of those ad hoc report writing tools.

The ideal candidate has 10 years' experience in Human Resources, with experience executing on multiple HRIS projects, ideally in the mining, construction/infrastructure, or energy industry. They should have a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset. Experience with implementing HRIS systems, knowledge of Oracle HCM (Cloud) is also an asset.

The candidate should have a high level of integrity and accountability, strong decision-making and judgment skills, and a keen sense of ethics. They should also have demonstrated project management skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, and be self-motivated, able to prioritize, and work independently with minimal guidance.
