You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients regain and/or maintain optimal levels of function.
As a member of our clinical team, you will communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, as well as other healthcare professionals. You will also supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and supervise physiotherapy assistants and aides.
About YouWe are looking for a highly qualified Physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. You must be a member of the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and have computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook. Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS) and WHMIS training and certification are also required.
Additional courses or education in specialized areas, such as cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, balance training, etc., are an asset. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are also an asset.
HoursThis is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. You may be required to work weekends.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $42.90. You may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
