We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at LPT Contracting Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Your tasks will include setting tiles in place, aligning and straightening them, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings, and packing grout into joints between tiles.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThis role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must also have excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. The work environment is dusty, and you will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat.
Personal SuitabilityWe are looking for a reliable, accurate, and client-focused individual who is able to work well in a team. You must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as good judgement and reliability. This is a permanent position, and you will be required to work 40-50 hours per week.
