Tile Setter

LPT CONTRACTING LTD. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Your tasks will include setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base, aligning and straightening tiles, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout, removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles, laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, cutting, surfacing, polishing, and installing marble and granite, mixing, laying, and polishing terra surfaces, and installing tile strips.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThe Tile Setter position is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and the ability to distinguish between colors. You must have excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. You will also be required to work overtime and handle a large workload.
