Job Summary

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Neurodevelopmental Services team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work in a community-based setting, providing family-focused treatment services to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop recommendations for clients.
  • Establish and implement occupational therapy treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Plan, facilitate, and provide follow-up within group therapy programs.
  • Evaluate client treatment plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with Autism, Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, Anxiety, and Intellectual Disability.
  • Knowledge of ecological systems theory, culturally competent practice, community-based mental health service delivery, and the bio-psychosocial approach to mental health.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and experience in CBT and DBT.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba and membership in C.A.O.T.
