Physician - Hospitalist

We are seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a hospitalist, you will be responsible for managing a panel of patients and providing care and coordination of community-based care, secondary and tertiary level healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Manage a panel of hospitalist patients and provide high-quality patient care
- Coordinate community-based care, secondary and tertiary level healthcare services
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
Expected Hours and Remuneration
- The standard work week is 7 days on, 7 days off - open to discuss alternative scheduling such as weekend coverage, evening/overnight shifts, partial weeks, etc.
- Full line and half line available. Frequency can be negotiated.
- Remuneration is a daily rate of $250 for a full line with a call rate of $150 per night on weekends (Friday - Sunday) or $100 per night on a weekday (Monday - Thursday), plus fee-for-service billings for anyone seen after 5 pm and before 8 am
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
