Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned supervisor to oversee the operation of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of heavy equipment operators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Estimate costs and materials for equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and development programs for heavy equipment operators.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new employees, as well as conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and conduct regular safety inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan and coordinate equipment operations.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Requisition materials and supplies for equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Train or arrange for training of heavy equipment operators to maintain and improve their skills.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operations and supervision.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
